2.0 (the second try) for Nozferklaatu. Since antiquity several versions of the Vampire curse has been tried by various gods/demons/sorcerers, and the general consensus is that while it looks good in theory, it always ends up in a clusterfuck that embarrasses the caster. But for some reason the Vampire curse just won't stay dead.
Nozferklaatu: I know what went wrong the last time and now I have a fix for it. I'm calling it the Vampire Soul Patch! Give me a 2nd chance!
Odin: Nope.
Nozferklaatu: PLEEEEEZE!
Odin: Oh, who could resist that face?
Loki: I know I certainly can't.
Odin: Ew.
Odin: OK: let's hear your sales pitch. So how does this Vampire Soul Patch work?
Nozferklaatu: Well the curse was designed for Elves, and they completely detested it. But they were able to pass it to human peoples. To the humans it gave Supernatural Powers!
Nozferklaatu: The humans enjoyed being vampires and their numbers exploded uncontrollably. The gods feared the plague of vampires would overrun the world.
Nozferklaatu: We only prevented that by revoking the curse, which allowed the Elves to claim victory and humiliate us.
